IMASA has been awarded with the Mechanical Erection of the new plant of lubricants, that the companies SK Lubricants and the Spanish Repsol, will build in the Valle de Escombreras (Cartagena).

IMASA will take care of the mechanical erection of this project for the Joint Venture formed by the Corean company SK Lubricants and the Spanish Repsol. This plant will be one of the most important ones in the world that will produce new generation lubricants, once its finished at the end of 2014.

This new project, named SKSol, will have an investment of 250 million euro, will employ an average of 350 people during its construction with peaks of over 900 people. At the same time, the project has been declared as Strategic Plan for the Murcia region.


SKSoL is integrated by the company with Corean roots, SK Lubricants, that at the same time belongs to a holding that is constituted by 3 of the most important Business Groups in Corea and world leader in the lubricants market


The other partner of this Joint Venture, Repsol, has done the biggest industrial investment ever, in the history of Spain in Cartagena, with a budget of 3.200 Million Euro which will allow the Cartagena plant to multiply by two its manufacturing capacity
